The external adjustment dial is also located in a more convenient position (on the bottom, left side of reel) for fast, one-handed operation.

Equipped with Shimano’s new Micro Module Gear System as well, the new system utilizes smaller teeth and more of them to provide more contact points between the drive gear and pinion gear. This results in more efficient, smoother functioning, and combined with the X-Ship gear construction also provides improved durability and more precise alignment.
