The Derby Slayer is a perfect mid-sized baitfish imitation for drop shotting, vertical hanging, or casting to cover vast swathes of water. The ribbed body gives the bait a lifelike flexibility, while offering a larger lateral line presence in the water. It is built uniformly round so that it can be rigged in several ways to give the tail different presentations. The unique flat paddle provides an unpredictable, wild flapping action when jigged aggressively, and conversely, a vulnerable shimmy even when attempting to hold this bait motionless.
