G-Loomis - Light Line Trolling Rods

We designed these rods especially to troll for kokanee and trout with the help of one of the country’s leading kokanee experts, Sep Hendrickson. When he isn’t at a sport show or clinic talking about his refined methodology for catching the little devils, Sep is out on the water hooking them. His approach is based on the fishes’ comfort zones and food sources. Both species move up and down the water column as temperatures change, seeking the optimum level. Once he locates a school, he sets his downriggers for the exact level at which the fish are holding. Downriggers allow the use of much lighter rods, lighter line and smaller, more effective lures, making it a lot more fun to catch even the small ones. Manufactured with our light-power spinning rod blanks to protect the lighter line, these rods certainly provide a sporting challenge for those land-locked salmon or trout. Each rod is equipped with a straight rear cork handle, graphite trigger, ultra-lite cork reel seat and ultra-smooth Fuji ceramic guides.
