My partner joined three guys on the lake shore last night. He got his crappie to avoid the skunk. The guy tossing a diving plug got a 24" walleye, the one tossing a jig and twister got a 21 incher and the guy drowning the fat head got one over 28". My partner had never seen so many big walleyes in one evening, with the 28" the biggest he ever saw period. That is right in the city proper. Once you guys put up your boats you don't have to sit without fishing until there is ice. There are some really nice fish still working some of these shorelines.
