They are in at Cabelas In Mitchell South Dakota, I picked mine up last Sunday the 18th, fired her up and she sounds mean. I have always had a Jiffy, so this will be a lot different. The new Jiffy's looked like junk. I saw them in Cabelas the moter is a Chinese made thing, they call it a jiffy moter

I have the old mag 2000 and am thinking of making the upgrade to lazer mag with 7" blade. Will this be much faster or should I stick it out with my old mag with chipper blade?

The laser is way faster. I have a laser drill on my mag head.

The lazer style blades are about 3x's faster than the chippers. The chippers are nice if you want to reopen holes, but for making swiss cheese, the lazer's are the way to go.

If your wondering about size, the 7" is awesome for just about anything (minuse monster pike). I got mine last year and it worked wonders paired with a Mag 2000. Its big enough to have your float in the hole too and its small enough if you want to put three holes in you portable.

K
Is there a noticeable difference as far as speed between a 7" and an 8"?

There is, but it's not as bad as going to six from an eight. It's really a nice midsize and they're getting more popular.
