Hey Robin or anyone with a report on the Rainy River? Im heading up for some walleye, and C&R Sturgeon fishing Oct 23,24,25 and need to know how the bite will be?

I have not been out at all on the river. I am happy to report I have been too busy fishing to go fishing..... Work has been incredible this year given all circumstances. I have not been on the river since late april. I do know of some people going out and getting some tho. Lots of people "complaining" about the sturgeon at the mouth of the river. I guess it has slowed the drivers down trying to keep from hitting them. Good Luck, and if you get a chance to make it up to Nestor Falls sometime when you are in the vicinity give Muskie Bay Resort(800-363-3379) a shout and they can track me down to do some fishing with ya, or just have a nice cold canadian beer!!!

Sound awesome captain!!! I try to make it up to your area as much as possible, we are hitting the rainy river at the mouth of LOW on the 24 25 26 I thinks is the date? Lol anyways that weekend. Then its all about ice fish after that! Keep me informed about ice conditions when the time comes. I'm up for some early early ice! Take Care buddy!

The shiners are coming in to the river sporatically, the weather hasn't been helping much. very unstable here. not me, just the weather. they are getting some eyes in there but been better on the main lake as of yet. I am hoping to get out again, the boat is awaiting the river.
