With fall field work starting this week, I pulled the boat and pontoon out. I was driving across the lake thinking that this year seem to go by a little quicker than most, with all the summer things going on. I did get to fish some this summer, but as I drove across the lake, I did check out a few spots that will get a working over at first ice which will be the next time to wet a line. It seem all to easy to find the spot on spots that I fish in the winter, lets hope it that easy the first time out.
I did get to Thorne bros. for the event today. Great to see many old friends and meet some new ones. I saw a few thing that caught my eye and want to try a few things this winter. Great job Matt putting everything together, you make it look easy.

That wouldn't be a sad day in my eyes Ken. It just means were getting closer to ice.

The ice will be here soon enought. I know ice fishing is what I enjoy the most.

Shore fishing can be great in the Fall. Get a pair of waders and throw some crankbaits.

Nice to see you at the event. Thanks for making the trip up to hang out with us. I had fun chatting with you. Maybe we can meet up on the Ice sometime? I'll have to steal Matt and head down to fish with you guys this Winter.

there is a spot where the river goes out of the lake that is great in the fall. When you can only take the cold on your lower body for a few cast at a time, that is the best fishing.

Ahh man, I wish I was still down in Mankato... the fall shore fishing spots are incredible down that way! Very, very over-looked! Those were some fun days!
